Lesson 9: Ovals and Ellipses (Form)
The instructor reviews the following new terms with children:
- Diameter: Any straight line between two points on a circle that passes through the center of the circle.
- Radius: A line between any point of a circle and its center.

- Draw a horizontal ellipse.
- Draw a vertical ellipse.
- Draw an oval with the small end pointing upward.
- Draw an oval with the small end pointing downward.
- Draw a narrow, horizontal ellipse.
- Draw a broad, horizontal ellipse.
- Draw a narrow, vertical ellipse.
- Draw a broad, vertical ellipse.
- Draw a circle, a vertical ellipse, and an oval.
- Draw a circle and a horizontal ellipse.
- Draw a narrow and broad vertical ellipse.
- Draw a narrow and broad oval.
- Draw a circle and label the diameter and radius.
